Rita Laura (Albrecht) MacKenzie, 78, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, in Napa, Calif.
She was born March 22, 1935, in Natoma to Dietrich Carl and Pauline Emma (Maier) Albrecht. She graduated from Natoma High School.
She was a desk clerk at Denver General Hospital prior to retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Larry MacKenzie, Niles, Mich., and Christopher Burton, Aurora, Colo.; a stepson, John R. Mendoza, Westminster, Colo.; two daughters, Debra Madison, Napa, and Michelle Keller, Castle Rock, Colo.; three sisters, Ida Ellitot, Natoma, Dorothy McCarthy, Houston, and Mable Sommerdorf, Napa; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her longtime life companion, John Everett Mendoza.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Lakewood Colo.; additional graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Natoma City Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association.
