The Senior Social on Oct. 23 started with an interesting demonstration of disc golf by Brett Straight. Disc golf is becoming a popular game for seniors, offering good exercise, the opportunity to improve aim, and spend time outside with friends and family.

Straight gave seniors the chance to throw discs trying to score by landing one in the cage.

Witches came with a broom or carrying a skull, and there was a hunter in orange and a farmer in overalls. Others arrived "come as you are," and that was a bit scary, too.

The group had fun playing card bingo until the "trick or treat" prize bags ran out. 'Twas time to tell jokes and share ideas for future senior events in our community.

There were yummy muffins, and cheese and crackers to munch on.

The November senior social will be Nov. 20 in the Bickle/Eagle Health Complex education room. We will be playing regular bingo. The November social will be the last one in 2008. Mark your calendar for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 20 with free bingo.
