Tomi Dechant and Jamie Schwandt were married May 2, 2009, in Munjor, with Father Earl Befort officiating.

Parents of the couple are Tom and Santina Dechant, Munjor, Rodeana Schwandt, Phillipsburg, and the late Jack Schwandt.

Grandparents of the couple are the late Alphonse and Ella Dechant, the late John and Pauline Erickson, the late Eldon and Nadine Van Allen, Jack Schwandt, Rociada, N.M., and the late Elizabeth Schwandt.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Honor attendants were Shannon Dechant and Deanna Rupp, sisters of the bride. Attendants were Celina Fisher, Stephanie Kerns and Crystal Cook, friends of the couple.

Best man was Seth Kastle, friend of the couple. Groomsmen were Donny Pince, cousin of the groom, and Kyle Hesterman, Kevin Christensen and Clarence Boden, friends of the couple.

Ushers were Jeff Rupp, brother-in-law of the bride, Joshua Pince, cousin of the groom, and Donald Dodds, friend of the couple.

Candlelighters were Kaylee Dreher, cousin of the bride, and Raeleann Weigel, friend of the couple.

Flower girls were Lydia Pince and Olivia Pince, both cousins of the groom. Ringbearer was Travis Dreher, cousin of the bride.

The bride is a 2004 graduate of Hays High School and a 2007 graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor's degree in political science. She is pursuing a master's degree in public administration at Kansas State University. She is a graduate teaching assistant at KSU.

The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Kensington High School and received his bachelor's degree in health and human performance in 2006 and a master's degree in 2008 from FHSU. He is pursuing a doctorate of education at KSU. He is employed by the Department of the Army and is a first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Following a wedding trip to Las Vegas, the newlyweds are at home in Manhattan.
