Baked goods, arts and crafts, and home decor items will be available for purchase at the Hays After 5 Country Fair and Auction from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at the Bakery Shop, 230 E. Eighth.

Roger Kisner will serve as the auctioneer. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Stonecroft Ministries of Kansas City, Mo. Stonecroft is a non-denominational international Christian organization.

Individuals can bring auction items to the restaurant between 4 and 6 p.m. Other suggested auction items include canned goods, prepared mixes, and garden fruits and vegetables.

Also on the program is Phyllis Hedstrom of Concordia, who will give a speech entitled "Traumatic Incidents Create Tremendous Changes." Hedstrom will share how she was able to cope with her 5-year-old son's stroke and her unexpected divorce. She remarried in 2005, only to discover the first year of marriage produced many unexpected challenges.

Cost of the dinner program is $12.50. Reservations were due Thursday.
