We want you to know there will not be a Thursday night Senior Social in May because the committee has planned a great day for seniors May 27. You must RSVP by Friday at (785) 623-5900.
You're invited to attend the eighth annual National Senior Health and Fitness Day at the Center for Health Improvement.
Bring your spouse, your parents, your friends and anyone interested in fitness. Come in the southeast entrance. Registration is 8:30 to 9 a.m.
Have a cup of coffee and be prepared to learn about orthopedic surgery from Dr. Robert Bassett and a better understanding of Alzheimer's disease with Kathy Sikes.
You will have a chance to relax mid-morning with gentle yoga led by Karen Dougherty.
Around 10:45 a.m., we will be offered a free brunch. Following this tasty brunch, Kristen Angell will give tips on "Centsible Grocery Shopping," and we'll learn how to walk with confidence from Teresa Heimann.
Before closing comments and drawings for prizes, we will experience Fitness X 3 led by Kim Hattrup, Stephanie Schaffer and Kelly Flaska.
Don't miss this fun-filled four hours planned especially for you, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 27. It's free to all; non-members are welcome.
