Diana Maria Castillo Garcia and Joel Andrew Bannister were married Sept. 4, 2011, at Thurman's Mansion, Buda, Texas, with Dr. Fred Kandeler officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Louis Garcia, San Antonio, and Marcia Bannister, Hays, and the late William C. Bannister.

The bride was escorted by her father.

Honor attendant was Leslie Losoya, friend of the bride. Junior bridesmaids were Allison, Anne, Hannah, Sydney and Tigist Bannister, all nieces of the groom.

Groomsmen were Jesse Shaver, Cary, N.C., Travis Murphy, Quito, Ecuador, Matthew Arnhold, Hays, and Matthew Smith, Lawrence, friends of the groom.

Ushers were Victor C. Garcia, Mark Bannister, Ted Bannister, and Grant Bannister, brothers of the couple.

Flower basket carriers were Alyssa Diana Garcia and Kayla Marie Garcia. Kissing flower ball carriers were Grace Bannister and Daniella Garcia, niece and nephew of the couple. Ringbearers were Mulu Bannister for the bride and Will Bannister for the groom.

The bride graduated from Odessa College and University of Texas at Arlington. She is an acute care nurse practitioner at Baylor Heart Failure Clinic and Lung Disease Center, Dallas.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Fort Hays State University and University of Kansas School of Law. He is a finance and energy attorney at Patton-Boggs, L.L.P., Dallas.

Following a wedding trip to New Zealand, the newlyweds are at home in Dallas.
