Stockton resident Nick Brown picked up a win in the American Bass Anglers association tournament last weekend at Bone Creek Lake in southeast Kansas.

This is a back-to-back win for Brown, putting him in a good position to win the angler of the year award for his division.

The ABA is a three state-group, covering Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri.

Brown won $520 for his Bone Creek win.

His five bass limit weighed in at 17.06 pounds.

The next tournament for Brown's division is May 22 at Big Hill Lake. They will be joined by airmen from McConnell Air Force Base.

As they fish events, anglers are gaining points to attend their division championship even and the American Fishing Tour national championship. Points also determine angler of the year awards.

The American Fishing Tour offers lower cost, close-to-home bass tournaments designed for weekend anglers. All ABA anglers fish for money and points. The points advance the angler to their divisional championship and the top 500 anglers in the U.S. are invited to the American Fishing Tour National Championship.
