By The News staff The Kansas Department of Agriculture's Division of Animal Health is assisting in the investigation of a cattle theft from the Stafford County area. The theft occurred between 4 p.m. Dec. 3 and 9:30 a.m. Dec. 4. Taken were three groups of cattle. The first was 11 heifers, solid black and black/white face, a tag in one ear with "PLLC" on tags and a brand on the right hip. The second was 10 mixed steers/heifers with no brand. These were solid black and black/white face. Eight have yellow/white tags. The third group was two Charolais with no brand, one steer and one heifer with yellow/white tags. Also taken was a 24-foot white Titan gooseneck trailer. No information on identifying numbers on the trailer is available at this time.
