DODGE CITY -- The Hays Larks bounced back from a home loss to the A's the night before with a 7-4 road win over Dodge City on Wednesday night in Jayhawk League play.
Andrew Heck hit a three-run homer and drove in four runs while getting the victory in relief. Heck improved to 4-0, pitching three shutout innings in relief of Hays starter Vincent Littleman.
Hays (8-3 overall, 6-3 Jayhawk) trailed 2-0 before scoring four runs in the fourth and three in the sixth. Justin Klusak hit a three-run triple and Heck added an RBI single in the fourth. Heck hit his homer in the sixth.
A's starter Albert Baez allowed seven runs in six innings to take the loss for Dodge City (10-4, 4-4).
The Larks return home today for a 6 p.m. non-league doubleheader against the Colorado Sox at Larks Park.

At today's doubleheader, Dreiling-Schmidt Cancer Institute and Greystone Cosmetic and Reconstructive Surgery will hold a skin screening.
The Larks will be home Saturday and Sunday against Liberal. Saturday's 7 p.m. game features the Larks Poker Run. Players will enter the field on motorcycles for pregame introductions. Sponsor is Doerfler Harley Davidson. Western Beverage is sponsoring the night. Two Instant Finalist for the Bud Light Party Cruise will be selected. Two season passes to Fort Hays State University athletics and Budweiser gear will be given away.
Concession stand specials for Saturday: All Bud products will be $1.50 and sandwiches will be $2.
Saturday morning is McKids Day. The Larks will play a game with children and have hamburgers provided by McDonald's Restaurant after their morning game. The children will be introduced with the Larks starters before Sunday's 7 p.m. game with Liberal.
