Joanne Bussen, 85, Oakley, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2014, at Logan County Hospital, Oakley.
She was born May 21, 1928, to Albert "Ab" and Amanda Isabelle "Belle" (Sheard) Kennedy.
She married Norbert Bussen on Feb. 3, 1947. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Oakley; a son, Ed Bussen and wife, Rose; eight daughters, Pat Haremza, Teri Dickerson, Virgie Popp and husband, Ron, Barbara Butz and husband, Richard, Kathy Bussen, Chris Hoyt and husband, Keith, Angie Goudy and husband, Mark, and Loretta Bussen; a brother, Berle Kennedy; two sisters, Audrey Boyer and Reta Whitham; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Mike and Dan; a brother, Gary Kennedy; a son-in-law, Raymond Haremza; and a granddaughter.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Oakley; burial in Fort Wallace Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, Oakley.
A rosary/wake service will be at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph Catholic School, Oakley, in care of the funeral home.
