EL DORADO -- The Hays Larks got back on winning track in a big way.
Hays blasted out 19 hits, posted 18 runs and routed the second-place El Dorado Broncos 18-3 on Tuesday night.
Leadoff hitter Aaron Cornell was a double shy of the cycle, and was one of five Larks to hit a home run as Hays posted five runs in the second and 11 in the third to blow the game open.
Cornell finished 3 for 5, drove in five runs, and had the homer and a triple. Zair Koeiman, Ty Gilmore, Taylor Petersen and Blair Beck also homered.
Koeiman finished 2 for 5 with two runs scored and four driven in. Petersen was 4 for 5 with four runs scored and three driven in, and Gilmore finished 3 for 5 with a run scored and three RBIs.
