Helen Dome, 95, Hays, died Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at Hays Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 24, 1918, in Pfeifer to Adam J. and Magdalena (Breit) Klein.
She married John Dome on June 2, 1941, in Pfeifer. He preceded her in death March 31, 1984. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church and was a longtime volunteer with Hays Medical Center Auxiliary. She was a former member of Holy Cross Catholic Church and Altar Society Christian Mothers, Pfeifer.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Pfannenstiel and husband, Floyd, Hays; a son-in-law, James Kuhn, Topeka; a brother, Elmer Klein, Wichita; a sister, Josepha Dome, Hays; three grandchildren, Travis Pfannenstiel and wife, Terri, San Antonio, Crystal Sigg and husband, Eric, Lenexa, and Dana Soph and husband, Dave, Topeka; and eight great-grandchildren, John, Ryan, Hannah and Ellen Pfannenstiel, Hunter and Logan Sigg, and Riley and Sidney Soph.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Sylvia Kuhn; a sister, Irene Jacobs; and four brothers, Sylvester, Sylvanius, Alvin and Victor Klein.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Nicholas of Myra Catholic Church, Hays; burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pfeifer.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, both at Hays Memorial Chapel Funeral Home, 1906 Pine.
A Daughters of Isabella rosary will be at 6 p.m. Monday, followed by a vigil at 6:30 p.m., both at the funeral home.
Memorials are suggested to Masses in care of the funeral home.
