La Crosse senior Kip Keeley tied a school record for total touchdowns in a game as the Leopards rolled to a 54-6 win against Ellinwood on Friday. Keeley scored on runs of 9, 7, 46, 18 and 39 yards. He also caught an 11-yard scoring pass from sophomore quarterback Jack Garcia.

Keeley ended the night with 175 rushing yards on 11 attempts, getting the bulk of the work after an ankle injury to Levi Morss early in the game. Morss was held out as a precaution the rest of the way. The win by La Crosse secures the Class 2-1A, District 5 title and a first-round playoff game. Sterling wrapped up the second spot with a 40-0 win against Inman.

In Class 3A, District 14, Beloit rolled past Norton 56-9 to clinch the district championship, while Phillipsburg won 56-7 against Minneapolis. The Panthers got 109 passing yards from senior quarterback Sean Newlan and two TDs, both to Seth Derr, while Michael Dusin added 67 rushing yards on four carries with a touchdown. Brendan Ratzlaff rushed for 69 yards on four carries with two scores. Phillipsburg hosts Norton on Thursday with the winner earning the second spot in the district and a playoff berth. It is the HDN Area Game of the Week (See Wednesday's HDN).

In Atwood, Ness City rolled past Rawlins County 48-0 in a battle of unbeaten teams. The Eagles wrapped up the Eight-Man Division I, District 8 title, while Rawlins County and Hoxie will play for the district's second spot Thursday in Hoxie. The Indians won 56-8 against Quinter in a game called at halftime due to the mercy rule. Hoxie moved to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in district play.

At Victoria, the Knights moved a step closer to a playoff berth with a 58-6 win against Western Plains. The Knights sit 3-1 in district play and can wrap up a spot with a win Thursday on the road against Wilson.

Sam Ottley completed 5 of 7 passes for 97 yards and two TDs in the win. The game was over at halftime via the mercy rule. Otis-Bison can wrap up the district title and a home game with a win Thursday against Sylvan-Lucas. Otis-Bison defeated Wilson 60-14 on Friday, behind 173 rushing yards and six total scores from senior tailback Dylan Wissman.

In Osborne, the defending Eight-Man Division I sub-state runner-up Osborne Bulldogs lost for the first time in district play since switching to eight-man. The Bulldogs lost 50-40 to Pike Valley, setting up a must-win against Rock Hills in the season finale for the Bulldogs. A win for Osborne wraps up a district title while a loss essentially ends its season.

At Kensington, the defending Eight-Man Division II state champion Longhorns disposed of Almena-Northern Valley 60-14. The loss by the Huskies leaves them out of playoff contention, while Thunder Ridge wrapped up the District 5 title, and will host Weskan in the first round of the playoffs.

Weskan, previously unbeaten, lost 56-0 to Wallace County on the road Friday in Sharon Springs. Wallace County moved to 7-0 and wrapped up the Eight-Man Division II, District 6 crown.
