NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- The Hays Sr. Legion Eagles picked up back-to-back wins to end this weekend's tournament in North Platte, Neb.

Hays won twice Sunday, defeating Fort Morgaon (Colo.), 10-0, in six innings, then handing host North Platte a 17-1 loss in five innings in Sunday's final game.

The wins move Hays to 12-3 on the year.

Against Fort Morgan, the Eagles had seven hits and capitalized on three Fort Morgan errors, while Clayton Basgall drove in three runs. Tyler Wooldridge picked up the win, pitching a no-hitter through six innings with eight strikeouts and one walk.

Jarrett Sanders also drove in three runs with his home run in the third inning.

In the final game, Hays blasted out 16 hits against North Platte, scoring nine runs through the first three innings, and five in the fifth to surpass the run-rule.

Austin Unrein pitched all five innings, allowing one run on three hits with five strikeouts.

Basgall and Hayden Hutchison each homered, while Unrein and Sanders each had a double. Unrein finished 4 for 5 with three runs scored and two driven in, while Hutchison drove in five runs. Sanders had three RBIs.

Hays travels to McPherson on Tuesday for doubleheader action beginning at 6 p.m. The Eagles will also participate in this weekend's tournament in Dodge City.
