FHSU baseball picked fifth in poll

The Fort Hays State University baseball team was tabbed fifth in the MIAA preseason coaches poll, released Wednesday.

Coming off a 29-24 overall record and 20-19 MIAA mark, the Tigers earend 136 points in the poll with Central Missouri, the three-time defending league champion, earning 14 first-place votes atop the poll. Central Missouri begins the season ranked No. 4 in NCAA Division II.

Fort Hays was sixth last season and made the MIAA Tournament championship game.
