Tiger men sixth at Pitt State

The Fort Hays State University men's golf team finished sixth at the Pittsburg State Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, the first MIAA-sanctioned tournament of the season. Fort Hays shot 303 and 305 in the two-day tournament. Washburn University won with a 591. Sophomore Trey Herman finished fourth with back-to-back rounds of 73. Sophomore Tucker O'Hair was eighth with a 74 and 75. They were the lone Tigers to finish in the top-30.
The Tiger women took 16th at the Drury Shootout with a 347 and 339 for a 686. Southwestern Oklahoma State won with a 612. Senior Carmen Thompson led the Tigers with a 88 and a 79 to tie for 48th.
