Tiger women 12th out of 13 teams

TAHLEQUAH, Okla. -- THe Fort Hays State University women's golf team was 12th out of 13 teams this week in the Northeastern State University Golf Classic.

Samantha Hobson paced the Tigers with a two-day 158, capping the tourney with a 77 Tuesday.

Hobson's score tied fher for 15th place after she came in at No. 33 after Day 1. Carmen Thompson finished in 35thafter firing an 86 on Day 2. She shot 78 in the first round.

Kaycee Beilman and Megan DeWerff finished with a 91, 95 --  186, and a 98, 95  -- 193 respectively. Natalie Bethel finished with a 198.

The Tigers shot 697 as a team with host Northeastern State winning with a 605. Harding University's Brittany Marquez fired a 71, 72 --  143 to take top invdividual honors.
