Tiger golfers third in match-play event

AXTELL, Neb. -- The Fort Hays State University men's golf team finished in third place out of eight teams at a match play event at Awarii Dunes Golf Club. Fort Hays defeated Central (Neb.) Community College 4-1 and then lost to University of Nebraska-Kearney 'B' team 3.5-1.5.

FHSU took third with a 3-2 win against the UNK 'C' team. Sophomore Trey Herman helped lead the way with three victories: 7 and 5, 2 and 1 and 3 and 2.
