Tiger men selected atop MIAA poll

The Fort Hays State University men's basketball team, the defending conference champion, was selected atop the MIAA men's preseason coaches poll, released Wednesday morning.

The Tigers are atop the poll with 153 points and five first-place votes, one less than Northwest Missouri State University, which was selected No. 2.

The Tigers earned 353 points and sat atop the preseason media poll with 13 first-place votes. Fort Hays finished 20-8 overall last season and earned a share of their first MIAA regular-season title.
