Tiger men pick up road win

ALVA, Okla. — Dwayne Brunson scored 33 points, and the Fort Hays State University men's basketball team moved to 3-0 with a 79-55 win Saturday at Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Brunson scored 15 points at halftime, then was helped out by 12 first-half points by Carson Konrade, who hit four 3-pointers to help the Tigers to a 41-33 lead at the break.
Then, FHSU opened he second half on a 16-4 run and never looked back. The Tigers extended the lead to 12 midway through the second.
Brunson was 16 of 23 from the floor and had three blocked shots and two steals. Craig Nicholsn finished with 11 points.
The Tigers play their home opener at 7;30 p.m. Tuesday against Newton University at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
