No. 14 Tigers fall to No. 19 Lions on road

ST. CHARLES, Mo. -- The Fort Hays State University men's soccer team, ranked No. 14 in NCAA Division II, had a first-half and second-half lead on No. 19 Lindenwood University, but was unable to maintain in a 4-3 loss to the Lions.
Ricardo Yeverino scored two goals on seven shots, but it wasn't enough for the Tigers, who fell to 6-2-1 overall and 2-1-1 in MIAA play. Lindenwood moved to 8-0-1, 2-0-1 in the MIAA.
Diego Cabral added a goal for the Tigers on three shots. The match was tied at one at intermission and was tied at two in the 54th minute. By the 70th minute, Lindenwood netted two more goals to take a 4-2 lead, but Cabral knocked in a goal on a free kick to set the final margin in the 76th minute.
FHSU is on the road again Saturday against Southwest Baptist (Mo.) University in Bolivar, Mo.
