Tiger tennis opens season with victory

The Fort Hays State University tennis team got off to a good start Saturday.

The Tigers, coming off their best season in the MIAA last spring, opened the 2012-13 campaign with a 9-0 victory against NAIA Hastings (Neb.) College at the FHSU Courts.

Fort Hays continues its fall portion of the schedule at a tournament at Bethany College in Lindsborg on Friday.

The Tigers have six outings on the fall portion of the schedule with a two-day trip to Pueblo, Colo. later this month. The other home action for Fort Hays this fall is Oct. 5 against Newman.
