Tiger volleyball falls in straight sets

KEARNEY, Neb. - The Fort Hays State University volleyball team fell in straight sets to No. 4 ranked University of Nebraska-Kearney on Tuesday.

UNK won, 25-22, 25-9, 25-14 to moved to 24-2 for the season, 10-1 in MIAA play. Fort Hays dropped to 22-9 and 6-6 in MIAA play.

Sara Hewson led the Tigers with six kills, and Kayla Zoglman had 23 assists. UNK's Katie Sokolowski had 15 kills with Jenna Rouzee collecting 33 assists.

The Tigers are in MIAA action this weekend at home, hosting Central Oklahoma on Saturday at 6 p.m. at Gross Memorial Coliseum, then hosting Pittsburg State University on Sunday at 2 p.m.
