Tiger wrestlers third at Kansas Cup

WICHITA -- The Fort Hays State Unviersity wrrestling team was third in the annual Kansas Cup on Sunday at Newman University.
The Tigers scored 102 points with Labette Community College (119.5) and Baker University (106) took the top two spots.
Fort Hays had individual champions in two weight classes. Derek Koehn won at 157 pounds and C.J. Napier won at 141. Noah Killip also reached a final at 149 pounds, but lost in the title match.
Koehn defeated Bethany College's Colby Crank to win at 157 with a pin in 1 minutes, 22 seconds. Napier defeated Labette's Tyler Davis, 5-3.
The Tigers had three third-place finishers in Symon Seaton (133), Sam Thoman (165) and Zack Grimes (184).
The Tigers' Tanner Kriss, ranked nationally at 197 pounds, did not compete.
Fort Hays returns to action Friday, its first of two home duals this weekend, against Lindenwood University. Start time is 7 pm. at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
