COLBY -- Sophomore Cory Keehn won the Trojan Invitational for the Fort Hays State University men's cross country team Saturday, while senior Gentry Linscott earned the title for the Tiger women.

On the men's side, FHSU brought two teams to the meet and finished first and second on the boys' side in the eight-team meet that also featured Colby Community College, Butler Community College, Oklahoma Panhandle State University, Dodge City Community College and Barton Community College.

The women's side had just four teams and FHSU won.

Colby was second and Butler County was third and Panhandle State took fourth.

Keehn and senior Alex Hendee finished 1-2 in the 5-kilometer race. Keehn ran 15 minutes, 3.86 seconds, while Hendeed ran 15:06.12. At the FHSU Alumni Run earlier this month, Hendee defeated Keehn by one second. Senior Tanner Christensen finished fifth in 15:18.26.

Linscott ran 15:41.56, while sophomore Alex Nelson finished second in 15:47.01 Junior Carman Hill, from Hoxie, took fourth in 16:08.92.
