Tigers post provisional marks during weekend

The Fort Hays State University indoor track team competed at two meets last weekend, either at the Charlie Foster Classic in Kearney, Neb. or the Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. Three Tigers posted provisional qualifying marks.

Senior Max Alonso won the shot put with a throw of 57 feet, 81รขÑ4 inches and could rank fourth nationally in NCAA Division II. Senior Alex Hendee won the mile in 4:11.59, a time that places him in the top-20 nationally. Sophomore Brady Tien, a Logan graduate, took second in the pole vault at 15-3, currently tied for 35th nationally.
