HHS' Stewart finishes fourth on scorecard playoff

SALINA -- Hays High School senior golfer Aaron Stewart tied for first place Friday at the Salina South Invitational, but ended up with a fourth-place medal on a scorecard playoff.
Stewart shot a 5-over, 76 to lead the way for the Indians' 322 team score. Hays High finished fifth as a team, while Salina Central won with a 319.
Sophomore Kaden Beilman also earned a medal for the Indians, firing a 78 to finish eighth.
Freshman Nathan Romme and sophomore Lane Clark rounded out Hays High's scoring with an 83 and 85, respectively.
Junior Ryan Unruh (86), freshman Cash Hobson (86) and sophomore Chase Lynd (90) also competed.
Hays High's next action is Friday at the 36-team Hutchinson Invitational.
