HHS tennis wins at Colby

COLBY -- The Hays High School boys' tennis team picked up its first team title of the season Saturday at the Colby Invitational.
With a pair of first- and second-place finishes, Hays High scored 30 points to finish first out of six teams.
At No. 2 singles, Cody Brown went 3-0 to finish first and improve to 14-6 on the year. The No. 1 doubles team of Blake McClung and Hunter Wilkens finished 2-0 and in first place, moving to 13-7 on the year.
Bryce McClung finished 1-1 at No. 1 singles, and fell in a third-set tiebreaker to Ulysses' Hollance Dillon. At No. 2 doubles, Gustavo Reyes and Nick Glassman went 1-1 to finish second.
Hays High is on the road again Monday, competing in the WAC Championships at Great Bend.
