Hays High tennis competes in Salina

SALINA -- The Hays High School girls' tennis team was 12th place out of 14 teams Saturday at the Salina Central Invitational.
The Indians top finish came from Shelby Dinkel in singles play. Dinkel finished 2-3 in 12th place, while Brooke Forinash was 25th in singles play, going 2-2.
In doubles play, Megan Bird and Julie Balzar teamed up to finish 2-2 in 18th place and Kelsee DeBoer and Taylor DeBoer were 2-2 and finished 25th.
Janae Gagnon, normally Bird's doubles partner, missed the tournament while taking the ACT.
The Indians' next action is Thursday at Dodge City.
