Hays Jr. Legion to play for Zone title

The Hays Junior Legion baseball team will play Thursday evening for the Zone Tournament Championship at Larks Park.
The Jr. Eagles finished 2-0 in the first day of the tournament Wednesday.
Hays defeated Great Bend, 9-1, and Larned, 9-0 to make Thursday's title round.
In the other two games, Dodge City defeated Great Bend, and Larned defeated Dodge City 8-0.
Larned and Dodge City play each other at 5 p.m. Thursday, and the winner will face Hays in a potential title game.
If Hays loses the late game Thursday, the two teams will play again Friday morning.
The winner of the tournament advances to next week's state tournament in Pratt.
