Eagles take game from Leavenworth

LEAVENWORTH — The Hays Senior Legion baseball team picked up a 14-0, 5-inning victory against Leavenworth on Saturday. The second game of a doubleheader was called due to weather.
The Eagles scored at least one run in each of the five innings with Riley Kaus going 2 for 4 with two RBIs. Hayden Hutchison and Zack Legleiter each drove in two runs, while Hutchison picked up the win, pitching all five innings to move to 6-0 on the year.
The Eagles move to 26-4 on the year with the win. The Eagles play the Hays Monarchs in a doubleheader Tuesday at Larks Park, beginning at 6 p.m. This week is also the Wild West Festival Tournament, beginning Friday.
