ELLIS -- The Ellis High School football team capitalized on two early turnovers by previously unbeaten Larned to come away with a 36-0 victory Friday night. The Railers moved to 2-2 after turning a fumble and an interception into scores early in the game. Blake Hudson finished with 143 rushing yards on 15 carries with one touchdown, while Gage Younger finished with 132 yards on 18 carries for the Railers. Ellis hosts Norton (3-1) on Friday.

In Victoria, the Knights moved to 2-2 by picking up a 40-22 win against Claflin-Central Plains. Bryan Dome rushed for 72 yards on 18 carries, and Clayton Roth added 56 yards on 14 carries as the Knights bounced back from last week's 52-8 loss to top-ranked Ness City.

Victoria hosts Sylvan-Lucas on Friday.

Ness City continued its domination, moving to 4-0 with a convincing 58-12 road victory against Jetmore-Hodgeman County. Ness City begins district play at Quinter (2-2) this week. Quinter lost 14-12 to eight-man newcomer Atwood-Rawlins County, to open district play Friday. Otis-Bison traveled to Pratt on Friday to take on Skyline, and picked up a 58-20 win. Dylan Wissman had 158 yards on 13 carries with six touchdowns in the effort. The Cougars (3-1) host Dighton on Friday. Dighton was forced to forfeit their game Friday with Hoxie due to injuries.
