WICHITA -- Finally, Wichita Independent turned the tables on the Thomas More Prep-Marian girls' soccer team.

After TMP defeated Independent twice earlier in the season, the Monarchs fell 3-2 in double overtime Wednesday.

TMP (3-4) managed to tie the game twice but never got the upperhand.

Tyra Younie and Alissa Keil scored TMP's two goals on assists from Kelsie DeWitt.

TMP head coach Darryl Wellbrock said his team moved the ball well and kept it away from Independent for much of the game, but the Monarchs just couldn't put their shots on goal.

Each team finished with six shots on goal.

"We possessed the whole game and kind of dominated," Wellbrock said. "We just couldn't find the goals again."
