The Fort Hays State University men's basketball team completed a road sweep of Missouri Southern State University and Southwest Baptist (Mo.) University for the first time in school history and pulled itself back into the MIAA race.

After a win at Missouri Southern on Saturday, FHSU won 91-72 at SBU on Monday night. The women bounced back from a Southern loss to deliver a 93-66 victory against SW Baptist. The Tiger men stand at 10-3, 2-3 MIAA, while the FHSU women are 9-2, 3-2 MIAA.

The first half went back-and-forth in the men's game Monday, and the Tigers used an 18-8 run to take a 50-44 lead at halftime. Senior Andrew Victoria, hobbled by injuries all of his career, enjoyed his best game with 18 points and 11 rebounds. Victoria had eight points, 10 rebounds against Southern. Four other players scored in double figures Monday, including 17 points from Carson Konrade. SBU dropped to 8-5, 1-3 MIAA.

In the women's game, sophomore Chelsea Mason had 20 points and junior Kate Lehman delivered 18 points and 11 rebounds for her eighth straight double-double. FHSU led 58-51 with 13:07 left, but then enjoyed a 12-3, 14-3 and 11-0 runs to open the scoring. Freshman guard Nikola Kacperska had a career-high 13 points. SBU dropped to 6-5, 1-3 MIAA.

The Tigers host Lindenwood (Mo.) University on Thursday and Lincoln (Mo.) University on Saturday afternoon at Gross Memorial Coliseum.
