Tiger men pick up Friday win to open season

The Fort Hays State University men's soccer team got off on the right foot Friday in Colorado.
The Tigers defeated Colorado Christian University 4-1 on the road.
FHSU improved to 1-0, and CCU dropped to 1-1.
All-American sophomore midfielder Diego Cabral recorded the opening goal in the 25th minute, beating the CCU goalkeeper one-on-one.
CCU actually tied it in the 34th minute with a goal from Calvin Beck.
However, junior Daniel Peralta recorded his first two goals of his FHSU career after transferring from Northern Oklahoma College.
Peralta netted one in the 42nd minute off a penalty kick and scored off a low cross from freshman midfielder Michael Cole in the 80th minute.
Sophomore forward Jaccob Rangel scored the Tigers' final goal in the 85th minute on a pass from sophomore midfielder Tanner Brock.
The Tigers were set to play South Dakota School of Mines on Saturday night in Lakewood, Colo.
