FHSU women's soccer falls in season opener

The Fort Hays State University's women's soccer team lost 1-0 Friday at home in the season opener to Southwest Minnesota State. Fort Hays had 11 shots, seven more than SW Minnesota. The lone goal came in the 75th minute on a shot to the low right corner Kendahl Fisher. In the 27th minute, FHSU had two great chances to score on a shot by Jordan Hester and a rebound attempt by Sabrina Van Horn.
