The Fort Hays State University softball team, ranked No. 17 in NCAA Division II, went 4-0 in road doubleheader sweeps against Truman State (Mo.) University and Lindenwood (Mo.) University on Friday and Saturday. The Tigers defeated Truman State 1-0 and 4-0 and beat Lindenwood 11-1 in a contest called after five innings because run rule and won the second contest 3-2. The Tigers improved to 27-5 overall and 9-1 MIAA.

Against Truman State, senior ace Maddie Holub threw the second complete game no-hitter of her career and hit a homer for the contest's only run in Game 1. She faced two batters over the minimum. In the second contest, Holub homered again, her 13th of the season, tying Jessika Anastos' single season school record set back in 2008. Freshman Paxton Duran threw her fourth shutout of the year.

Against Lindenwood, FHSU scored three runs through the first two innings and then tallied five runs in the fourth inning. Holub was perfect through the first three innings under she allowed a hit in the fourth inning, ending a streak of 10 no-hit innings. She moved to 14-1 overall.

In the second game, Duran worked five innings and improved to 11-4 with the victory. Holub pitched the final two innings for her third save. FHSU broke a 2-2 tie in the sixth inning when Jenna Lang led off with a double and scored on a two-out bases loaded walk from Holub.
