Pair of Tigers run well

LINCOLN, Neb. -- Junior Alex Hendee and senior Cameron Reith had strong races in the distance events for the Fort Hays State University indoor track team on Friday and Saturday at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational.

Competing against multiple NCAA Division I programs, Hendee placed third in the 3,000-meter run in 8 minutes, 30 seconds. He finished just three seconds off first place. Reith ran 15 minutes in the 5,000 meters to take sixth. Freshman Jordan Carlisle took eighth in the high jump with a leap of 6 feet, 61รขÑ4 inches.
