FHSU women pick up soccer win

The Fort Hays State University women's soccer team dispatched Washburn University 3-1 on Friday at FHSU Soccer Stadium.
The Tigers (6-3, 2-2 MIAA) fell behind 1-0 after the first half, despite out shooting Washburn 9 to two, but turned it on in the second half, scoring three goals in 14 minutes.
Senior forward Sade Humphrey tied the match in the 50th minute on a pass from freshman midfielder Alexis Aiman in transition.
Aiman scored the Tigers' second goal from the top of the box on an assist from Humphrey in the 60th minute, and Hester added the match's final goal in the 64th minute, collecting her own rebound before burying it.
Washburn dropped to 1-7 and 1-3 in the MIAA. The Tigers are in action again today at FHSU Soccer Stadium against Emporia State University. Match time is 2 p.m.
