Tiger women take out Emporia State

The Fort Hays State University women's soccer team used a strong second half to defeat Emporia State University 2-0 on Sunday at FHSU Soccer Stadium.
The Tigers (7-3, 3-2 MIAA) dominated the match, out shooting Emporia 15-3, and 10 of FHSU's shots came in the second half.
Emporia dropped to 3-6-1 and 0-4-1 in the MIAA.
Senior forward Sade Humphrey opened up the scoring with a goal in the 48th minute. Senior midfielder Bethany Keefer headed in the cross from the corner kick, and Humphrey hit it into the goal.
Freshman forward Ember Albertson scored the second goal late, tapping in a cross from Humphrey in the 88th minute.
Sophomore goalkeeper Nicole Barnaba collected the shutout. She made two saves.
The Tigers go on the road for their match Friday at University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla.
