FHSU men finish fourth at XC invitational

LINCOLN, Neb. -- The Fort Hays State University cross country teams competed Saturday at the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Cross Country Invitational.

The men's team had a strong performance, finishing fourth with a score of 143. The women placed 17th with a score of 414.

Sophomore Cory Keehn led the way for the Tigers on the 8,000-meter course, placing ninth in 25 minutes and nine seconds.

Seniors Alex Hendee and Tanner Christensen finished 16th and 30th in 25:45 and 26:09, respectively.

Sophomore Jonny Bernasky and junior Chris Ramsgard rounded out the team scoring with 56th- and 62nd-place finishes in 26:38 and 26:43, respectively.

Junior Gentry Linscott was the women's top runner on the 6,000-meter course, finishing 46th in 23:32.

Sophomore Alex Nelson was 57th in 23:44, and junior Carman Hill was 93rd in 24:15.

Freshman Ramsey McCarter and sophomore Hannah Robinson were 119th and 123rd in 24:55 and 24:57, respectively.
