HHS golfers finish fourth

DODGE CITY -- The Hays High School girls' golf team finished fourth on Thursday at the Dodge City Invitational.
The Indians posted a team score of 390, finishing ahead of six teams and three Western Athletic Conference schools.
Maize won the meet with a score of 337. Garden City was second (352), and Buhler was third (357).
Senior Courtney Hess led the way for Hays High with a 14th-place finish and score of 93 on the 18-hole course.
Senior Taylor Herman was 17th, carding a 95, while sophomores Lexie Schaben and Elissa Jensen were 22nd and 29th with scores of 101 and 104, respectively.
Senior Zoey Gubitoso was 32nd with a 111 but didn't figure into the team scoring.
