HHS golfers second in Liberal

LIBERAL -- The Hays High School girls' golf team finished second Thursday at the Liberal Redskin Invitational.

All five Hays High golfers medaled, and each Indian was separated by one stroke.

Taylor Herman shot a 44 to place fifth, and Courtney Hess recorded a 45 to finish sixth.

Lexie Schaben and Elissa Jensen rounded out the scoring with a 46 and 47 for seventh and eighth place, respectively, and Zoey Gubitoso shot a 48 to place 10th.

Hays High finished second with a 182. Garden City won the meet with 172, and Great Bend finished 16 strokes behind Hays High with a 198.
