HHS soccer drops close one to Bishop Carroll

WICHITA -- The Hays High School boys' soccer team dropped a close one to one of the best Class 5A teams in the state Thursday.
The Indians fell 2-1 in double overtime at Wichita-Bishop Carroll (12-1-2), ranked No. 5 in Class 5A.
Hays High (5-8-2) got behind early, as Bishop Carroll's Taylor White scored in the 25th minute.
HHS senior forward Jordan Windholz forced overtime in 80th minute, scoring on an assist from senior outside midfielder Cody Brown.
However, Bishop Carroll sealed the victory in the 96th minute with a goal from Timmy Vuong.
Hays High senior goalkeeper Josh Johnson finished with nine saves.
