Hays High soccer ties with Junction City

JUNCTION CITY -- Despite a wide shooting disparity, the Hays High School boys' soccer team tied Tuesday with Junction City on the road.
The match finished 1-1, and the Indians now are 3-5-2.
Hays High senior midfielder Kellen Griffin put the Indians up in the 38th minute, but Junction City quickly responded with a goal in the 40th minute -- just 15 seconds before halftime.
The Indians finished with 18 shots on goal to Junction City's two.
"We did everything right except put the ball in the back of the net," Hays High coach Chris Michaelis said.
