HHS soccer falls to Great Bend

GREAT BEND -- The Hays High School boys' soccer team lost to Great Bend 3-0 on Tuesday.

Hays High dropped to 3-4-1 and 1-2-1 in the WAC.

The Indians fell behind early as Great Bend's Enrique Guyton scored on an assist from Alexander Urias in the sixth minute. Hays High struggled to create scoring opportunities, posting just four shots on goal in the match.

As the Indians pushed to tie it, Great Bend added two goals on counter attacks.

Great Bend's Mario Espino and Joaquin Garcia scored in the 66th and 76th minutes, respectively.

Hays High senior goalkeeper Josh Johnson finished with 13 saves.
