HHS soccer falls at Dodge City

DODGE CITY -- The Hays High School boys' soccer team lost Tuesday at Dodge City on a last-minute goal.
The Indians lost the match 4-3, as Dodge City's Mario Lopez scored a goal with 24 seconds left in the match.
Hays High dropped to 4-6-2 and 2-3-1 in the Western Athletic Conference. Dodge City improved to 7-5-1 and 2-3-1 in the WAC.
The loss dropped Hays High out of contention for the WAC title.
Sophomore Graydon Olsen put the Indians up 1-0 at halftime after scoring the opening goal in the 20th minute.
Dodge City responded in the second half with two goals in the 52nd and 67th minutes.
Hays High junior Jordan Windholz responded with a goal in the 68th minute to tie it, but Dodge City's Isaac Palma immediately responded a minute later to put Dodge City back up.
Windholz provided the tying goal in the 78th minute on an assist from senior Cody Brown, but Lopez scored the go-ahead goal with 24 seconds left to end it.
