Mathews sets HHS swim record

SALINA -- Hays High School senior Blake Mathews set a school record in the 200-yard freestyle Wednesday.
Mathews set the record at the Salina South Invitational with a time of 1 minute and 55.01 seconds.
Hays High finished third at the meet with 321 points.
Newton won it with 394, and Salina South was second with 349.
Sophomore Morgan Mathews qualified for state with a time of 1:03.66 in the 100-yard butterfly.
