Indian tennis finishes second at Dodge City

DODGE CITY -- The Hays High School girls' tennis team finished second out of eight teams at the Dodge City Invitational.
All the Indians' singles and doubles finished 3-1.
Senior Shelby Dinkel was third in No. 1 singles. Dinkel's only loss was an 8-5 one that came at the hands of Dodge City's Kelly Brauer, who won the meet.
Freshman Brooke Forinash was second in No. 2 singles. She battled back from being down 5-0 in a pool play match and won in a tiebreaker 8-7(3).
The No. 1 doubles team of seniors Megan Bird and Janae Gagnon were second and the No. 2 doubles of junior Kelsee DeBoer and freshman Taylor DeBoer each finished second.
Every Western Athletic Conference school was represented at this meet.
