Indian volleyball swept in Pratt

ULYSSES -- The Hays High School volleyball team finished 0-3 at the Ulysses quadrangular.
The Indians lost to Pratt (25-16, 25-3), Ulysses (25-21, 25-22) and Garden City (25-19, 25-16). Hays High dropped to 6-7 after the quad. It's the first time this season the Indians have been below .500.
Against Pratt, senior Millie Copper led the team with four kills. Senior Shea Briggs had seven assists, seven digs and two blocks.
Copper and senior Sydney Niernberger each had five kills against Ulysses. Freshman Madison Prough had nine assists and three aces, and freshman Albany Schaffer had nine digs.
In the Indians' final match against Garden City, Copper again led with four kills. Prough had four assists, and Schaffer, Briggs and senior Mikayla Linn each had six digs.
The junior varsity teams defeated Pratt and Ulysses but fell to Garden City.
